Pumpkin, Apples and Spices
It’s that time of year when the air gets crisp, the wind has a slight chill and the leaves start to change.
Heading to the farm with the kids to see the animals, run through the corn maze and pick out our pumpkins is always a great tradition. We look forward to this time every year.
Grab your coat, your scarf and a warm cup of coffee (or maybe that special latte ;)…) and enjoy the day out in the fresh air!
It seems to be a favorite time of year for a lot of people and for many reasons, the beautiful colors, the smells but most importantly my favorite… the SPICES.
Baking with spices is always sensational. The amazing aromas that fill the house and the delicious treats that ensue are enough to convince me it’s the best time of year.
Some of the fall favorites are of course, pumpkin, apples, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and all spice. Very classic, very traditional… and dare I say it…
Ok maybe I won’t say it… you know what I’m trying to say though, right!?
Anyway, I’ve spent a couple of weeks in the kitchen recipe testing and creating some new and fantastic recipes to share with you and they all scream FALL!
In fact they probably couldn’t get anymore fall than this.
Whether you’ve picked your own apples, cooked down your own pumpkin or grabbed yourself the can of puree these recipes are sure to delight and excite!
I will release the recipes one at a time, I wouldn’t want to overwhelm you and well have your kitchen looking like mine did as I tested 5 recipes at ONE TIME!… My poor kitchen took a beating during this one.
