Do you need a last minute Valentine’s Day gift?
Or simply struggling to find the perfect gift?
These Valentine’s Day brownies are SURE to be a hit, leaving your Valentine begging for more…
Now now… get your mind out of there!
Begging for more brownies, seriously these simple yet delicious chewy brownies are hard to resist!
Using my Perfect Chocolate Brownie recipe you can create these simply sinful brownies!
Start by making a batch of my Perfect brownies, grease a mini loaf pan using GOOP
Add 1 scoop of mixture to each compartment
Using a 2 oz scoop (Blue handle… purchase from here) or a 1/4 cup measuring cup
Bake according to direction, adjusting time to 18-22 minutes.
There are a couple of reasons I LOVE to bake these in individual tins…
1 — EVERYONE gets the crispy edges … YUM, Am I right?!
2 — They rise up the sides and create a “crater” in the middle (Don’t worry, there is still lots of brownie in the middle this is just caused by the heat on all sides on such a small space)
3 — ^^^ Why is the above good? … Because you can fill that cavity with stuff, like preserves, or ganache, or… CARAMEL!
***The same phenomenon happens when you bake these in cupcake tins***
Once the brownies were cooled I filled them with my favorite caramel sauce (Yes this one was store bought… but remember they were last minute!)
As amazing as these would be as is, I couldn’t stop there…
Introducing, creamy, fudgy chocolate buttercream.
– Simply using your favorite vanilla buttercream (about 2 cups), add 1 cup of Dark cocoa and up to 1/4 cup of milk/cream
Mix until smooth and creamy
– Let rest for a few minutes and watch as the buttercream develops and intensifies in color AND flavour
Fill your piping bag with the chocolate buttercream and
Using a Wilton 127 tip (large petal) … Thin side up and thicker side hovering millimeters from the top of the caramel.
Starting at 1 end of the brownie,
Gently but forcefully (yea its a thing.. it may take a little practice, so try on a board or something first)
and with even pressure squeeze the piping bag while moving your hand from one edge of the brownie to the other creating a zig-zag pattern until you reach the other end.
The ribbons of buttercream are lush and delicious, and could certainly be served as they are!
BUUUUUT Because it’s Valentine’s Day, these babies are in need of some SPRINKLES!
I used a combination of sprinkles from Sprinkle Pop because I didn’t have time to order her amazing Valentine’s mix (I added a few extra’s I had on hand as well)
But seriously, Liz has a sprinkle for EVERYTHING!
So if you want to score yourself some brownie points this year, do yourself a favour, grab your apron and GET IN THE KITCHEN… STAT!
I promise you, whoever is on the receiving end of these Perfect Brownies will surely be impressed, not only by the brownies but that you took the time to make something special for them.
Take heed of my advice and make yourself a batch too… no… seriously
Don’t believe me… Keep scrolling!
